Celandine - Lower Mill Estate Details

The four bedroom contemporary lakeside home is situated on Howells Mere within the award winning Lower Mill Estate private nature reserve.

The accomodation is arranged over 3 floors with the main living area being on the upper floor with large outside decking areas and views over the lake. In addition there is a spiral staircase leading up to our 'skydeck' - a spectacular roof top terrace which offers complete privacy and views over the surrounding area. Wifi is available throughout the house.

Upper floor 

Open plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting area with wood burning stove which gives a cosy feel in Winter.  This leads out onto a large decking area with outdoor table and chairs and barbeque The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, electric fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer.  Nespresso coffee maker. The dining table has seating for 8 people. The sitting area has comfortable leather sofa, TV and DVD, Roku streaming device.

Master bedroom 2. With King Size (5ft wide)  bed and ensuite  w/c and shower room. Bedroom opens out onto decking area with views over the lake

Outside

The skydeck on the top floor of the property offers complete privacy and gives 360 degree views of the surrounding lakes and countryside. It is furnished with an outdoor sofa and table, plus recliners. The glass fronted decking area outside the main living area has a table, chairs and BBQ. There is also a large area of decking on the ground floor, with small table and chairs where children may play.

There are 450 acres to explore within Lower Mill Estate -  there are seven lakes, abundant wildlife and lovely walks. There is a restaurant on site, children's playground, mini astro-turf football pitch, ttable tennis table, trampoline and tennis courts. There is also a nature trail for youngsters around the estate.  Guests have free access to the estate's wonderful Artspa with its slate-lined indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, steam room and state-of-the-art gym.

Bikes, canoes and paddle boards can be hired at the onsite ‘activity hub’

Golf, fishing, sailing and waterskiing is available nearby.

General

Linen and towels are included in the rental price. Rentals of more than one week have the option to book a linen change and a weekly clean for an additional charge. Please bring your own towels for the swimming pool, or you can hire for a small charge.

This is a great house for families or an extended family group with plenty of facilities for children. The decking areas of the property are completely enclosed and there is no direct access to the water from the balcony. Lower Mill Estate is a nature reserve and family environment with a mix of owners and their families as well as a small number of rental properties. There are a number of ‘rules’ to ensure that the estate is a safe, secure and peaceful environment. Please ask if you wish to see the code of conduct which forms part of the booking contract.

Lower Mill Estate is constantly evolving. Our property is directly on Howells Mere on which all houses have now been completed. There are building works in other areas of the estate. This does not affect our house and does not detract from the enjoyment of this beautiful nature reserve, but we feel guests should be aware.

Celandine is a strictly no smoking property. Sorry no pets. No stag or hen parties.
